How many playpens does it take to hold a monkey?

Two, it seems, so far.

Mylee loves her playpen. From the time she was tiny she prefered sleeping in it instead of her crib, and now she likes bouncing (literally) off its walls...LOL.

Here is Mylee when she was about 6 weeks old...so sweet :)
Mylee about a month ago (10 months old) still loving it!

A few weeks ago this is what happened....the pictures tell the story..LOL

She was not done climbing but I got her after this. She tried this a few more times (only when she was mad and wanted out) but she has not tried lately so maybe she forgot. Still.........

Luckily, I had bought this playpen from my friend Ginger to keep in our bedroom and as you can see it is taller so maybe we can make it a little longer!

Family Night!

We have such a good time when Reagon and Kendall are here and our whole family is together! A couple of weekends ago, I think we did every activity and played every game we could think of in about 5 hours before everyone wound down! It was a really fun night.

Abby and Kendall making one of many lists that night.
Brooke, Reagon and I (and sometimes Mylee..lol) played a good game of scrabble...even though we kept running into the office to look up words!

Reagon bowling on the Wii

Brooke practicing his archery on the Wii..lol

Sweet sisters!

Brooke was building a fire when Reagon and Kendall got there and they just had a seat and had a good visit around the fire while I snuck a picture!

A Healthier Me

I just made it through my first and hardest day of the rest of my life....at least with the way I eat that is. I started the Atkins Diet today and actually followed through instead of forgetting and getting a glass of tea or just deciding that "tomorrow" would be the day I would start. I know its just one day, but that's one day longer than all the other times I have decided to do this...lol. I never had to really diet except after the birth of my children, and I put it off both times. Diabetes runs in my family so this lifestyle change will also be good for my health. When I eat I get really sleepy, when I don't eat I get sick, so I have some bloodsugar problems anyway. I love white bread, pasta, and milk, and that added to my addiction to chocolate is just wrong all the way around. I am going to journal my progress of the weight lost every time I post a blog so I can keep up with my progress and stay encouraged.

I have done this before, about a year after Abby was born, and it worked better than anything I have ever tried, but I didn't make it a lifestyle change. Since I was only 20 then and just a few years away from 30 now, I feel that my health is a more important factor than it was before, so I am going to use that for motivation even after I get to my goal weight. But unfortunately that's a while down the road, so back to woo hoo! I made it through the first day! LOL

Where's the Deer?

Brooke has a mounted deer head that was at his mom's while we lived in the apartment. Mylee hated it at first, but then Brooke would hold her and pet its nose with her and she didn't mind as long as he had her.
Almost a month ago, while we were moving into the new house, I was sitting on the couch and Mylee was standing in front of me, and all of a sudden she started screaming and panicing--scaring us to death. Usually nothing phases her so we thought she was hurt. After realizing she was ok, I noticed that Brooke had brought the deer head in while moving and had just laid it in a chair, so my poor baby just turned around and saw it "staring" at her. We tried to hide the deer but she knew where it was, so if we even started to walk in that direction, she would cry. I say we....if Brooke had her, she was okay....but she would still tense up.
Fastforward to about two weeks ago...Brooke decided the perfect place for that deer head (until he can get a bigger one...lol) is above our rock fireplace (it does look good there even though the pretty fall wreath I had there ended up on the floor when he was done). Mylee LOVES it now. We say "Where's the deer?" and she just gets so excited and laughs and points. It's so funny. She is like that about any animal (now that the deer trauma seems to be over). I think she is going to be an animal lover like her big sister Kendall!

Mylee Brooke

On New Year's Eve 2007 our Mylee Brooke was born. She weighed 8'13" and was 21 inches long. She is named after me (my middle name is Lee), her daddy Brooke and big sister Reagon Brooke. She is 10 months old now and we have loved every minute of it.

Daddy and Mylee right before we brought her home from the hospital.

Reagon, Kendall and Mylee (in the background...lol)

Sweet sisters

Mommy and Mylee

Kendall and her mini-me...they look so much alike! I will have to scan some baby pics of Kendall because we have a bunch where they look like twins. We think that is neat.

Reagon playing with Mylee at Mimi's...Mylee was cracking up!

Ready for church!

Reagon is going to make Mylee just as big of a Hogs fan as she is!

In her Razorback pajamas....

Reagon is so good at making Mylee laugh!
Mylee is so blessed to have such wonderful big sisters for her to look up to as she grows up! We have so many sweet and funny memories with her already.
